Celebrate Valentine’s Day with an indulgent afternoon of craft beer and artisan chocolate in the Castle Danger taproom. Join us on Saturday, February 14, 2026, for a guided tasting experience designed for couples, friends, and anyone who believes the best love language is flavor.

We’re partnering with Intrigue Chocolate Co. for an exploration of how thoughtfully crafted chocolate and beer elevate one another. Led by Intrigue founder Aaron Barthel and Castle Danger’s Caleb Knudsen, this guided tasting will walk guests through six curated chocolate and beer pairings, highlighting contrast, harmony, and surprise in every sip and bite.

Each ticket includes:

• An Intrigue Chocolate Co. variety pack of six 1-oz craft chocolate bars (a $44 value)
• Six 5.5-oz pours of Castle Danger craft beer (a $18 value), each paired specifically to complement the chocolate
• Expert commentary on flavor development, pairing philosophy, and sensory discovery

Guests will have the opportunity to purchase their favorite chocolates and beers to enjoy at home—or share with someone special. A to-go paired bundle of beer and chocolate will also be available for purchase while supplies last.

Started in Seattle, Intrigue Chocolate Co. is known for pushing the boundaries of flavor through a hands-on, small-batch approach to craft chocolate. Drawing inspiration from botanicals, fruits, herbs, and spices, Intrigue creates chocolates that are both unexpected and deeply expressive.

Founder and Chef Aaron Barthel brings a unique perspective shaped by a career spanning farming, botany, brewing, baking, and chocolate making. Since beginning his journey as a chocolatier in 2005, he has focused on coaxing complex flavors from cacao itself—unlocking new possibilities for pairing and discovery.

Event Terms & Conditions

• This is a ticketed, 21+ event. Valid ID required.
• One ticket admits one guest. Digital ticket and order confirmation serve as entry.
• Tickets are non-refundable. Tickets may be transferred with advance notice to Castle Danger Brewery.
• Check-in opens at 1:30 PM. Guided tasting begins promptly at 2:00 PM. Late arrivals may miss portions of the experience.
• Pairings are pre-set and cannot be modified.
• Chocolates may contain milk, nuts, soy, and other allergens.
• In the unlikely event of cancellation, ticket holders will be contacted directly.
